This policy explains how ATPedia (atpedia.org and its apps) handles your data. In short: your content (your tasks and data inside our apps) is stored on your device, and only reaches us if you turn on “Sync across your devices”. Otherwise we only receive what is needed for your account and subscription to work.
1. Your content inside the apps
Everything you write inside our apps — tasks, steps, times, reports and settings — is stored on your device, with daily backups on the same device.
Sync (optional): if you turn it on inside the app, a copy of this content is saved to your account on our server so it appears on all your devices and is not lost if a device breaks. The copy is tied to your account and can only be reached by your own signed-in devices. We do not use it for anything else and do not read it, unless you ask us for help with it yourself. You can turn sync off and delete your copy from the site at any time (in the app: Your account → Sync), and it is deleted automatically if your account is deleted.
With sync off, your content is never sent to any server, and if you delete the app or device it is gone — which is why we offer export to a file.
2. Data we collect
- Account: your email, your name if you provide it, and your password (stored hashed — nobody, including us, can read it).
- Email verification: a 6-digit code sent to you; we store only its fingerprint, not the code, and it expires after 15 minutes.
- Subscription & devices: your plan with its start and end dates, a unique identifier for each device signed in with your account (derived from the device), its type and name (e.g. “Windows” and the computer name), and when it last confirmed the subscription.
- Abuse prevention: a hashed fingerprint of your IP address at free-trial and sign-up time (so the trial cannot be repeated), and a temporary counter of failed sign-in attempts.
- Payments: amount, plan, method and transaction ID. With PayPal, card details are handled by PayPal only and never reach us. With Vodafone Cash and InstaPay: the number or name you sent from and the screenshot you upload.
- Contact messages: the name, email and message you send from the Contact page.
- Sync (if you turn it on): a copy of your in-app content, as described in section 1.
3. How we use it
- To run your account, confirm your subscription on your devices, and sync your content between them if you turned sync on.
- To activate your subscription after payment and send you necessary emails (verification code, activation, replies).
- To prevent abuse of the free trial and protect accounts from password guessing.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or send you marketing emails without your consent.
4. Who can see your data
- Us: the ATPedia team only — transfer screenshots are locked and viewable only from our admin panel.
- Service providers: our hosting provider (Hostinger), PayPal if you pay with it (under its own privacy policy), and Google Fonts which serves the website fonts (it sees your IP address when the page loads).
- The law: if lawfully requested by an authority.
5. Cookies
The website uses only the essential sign-in cookies that keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Retention
We keep your account data (and your sync copy, if enabled) while the account exists, or until you delete the sync copy yourself. Payment records are kept for accounting and review. Transfer screenshots and IP fingerprints are deleted when no longer needed.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your account and its data — write to us from Contact using your account email.
8. Children
Some of our apps are educational games for children. A child’s account must be created and paid for by a parent or guardian. The games themselves collect no data from the child beyond what is stored on the device.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above will change, and for significant changes we will notify you by email or inside the app.
